ATCL’s flights to Burundi set to improve business-President Samia

President Samia Suluhu Hassan has said that the resuming of Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL)’s flights to Burundi will improve business and interaction among the two East African nations.

The Tanzania Head of State has also urged the Wananchi from the two countries to make better use of the opportunity.

In her remarks on Friday during a state banquet held at the Dodoma’s Chamwino State House in honour of the Burundian Head of State, President Samia has further said that ATCL will be flying three times a week to Burundi in a bid to stimulate the movement of people as well as trade.

On another development, President pointed out that Tanzania has a total of 17 Tanzanian companies that have invested in Burundi.

She further said that 12 companies from Burundi are currently operating in Tanzania.

“The Burundian companies operating in the country have invested a total of 442.6bn/- created 6,601 employment opportunities for Tanzanians,” she said.
