Tigo Tanzania marks the 2020 Customer Service week in Style

Dar es Salaam. 5th October 2020.Leading digital lifestyle company, Tigo has today marked this year’s customer service week in style by celebrating the front-line staff who are the flag bearers of the company. The week also includes appreciating the Customer Care teams’ commitment to providing superior customer care service to Tigo’s esteemed customers across all channels. 

The week-long celebration will align with this years’ theme: “Dream Team” which reflects the importance of teamwork in providing outstanding service to all customers, the focus  being the Tigo staff who work together to ensure customer get the best service across customer service points which include, call centre, Tigo shops and other digital platforms. 

Speaking today at the Tigo Call Centre, Tigo Head of Customer Service, Mwangaza Matotola said that the week will be marked by showcasing Tigo’s excellent customer services and customer care providers.  

“This year has been a year filled with challenges for our Customer Care team, pooled in together to ensure our customers’ queries are handled within the shortest time, since we could not accommodate most customers into the shops. We also encouraged our customers to adopt the lifestyle of using our digital platforms, hence the utmost appreciation to our dream team who ensured to providing exceptional service”, said Matotola.

Tigo’s customer service week festivities will involve a range of activities including live chats with customers, meetings with customers, and stakeholders besides providing awareness on how they can jointly improve the quality of service being provided.

“As per this years’ theme, at Tigo, we appreciate our dream team for adapting to change, and this is why we insist on giving reliable and efficient services to our customers daily, and this was showcased by our customer care teams in different regions across the country,” said Matotola.

Tigo’s customers are encouraged to visit Tigo shops and access other digital platforms including Call Center, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook channels when they need help. They will be attended to by a well-trained and professional team.

The customer care week shall conclude with the Customer Care staff Awards gala, whereby outstanding staff will be rewarded and acknowledged for their never ending professionalism, efficiency and high level of service to customers.
